• Housekeeping Hotel Jobs- In housekeeping jobs cleaning of bathroom, keeping bath towels, changing soap etc. are done. NO particular education is required to get into this job.
• Receptionist Hotel Jobs- No particular education is required to get into hotel receptionist job but you must be good at communication. You check the room allocation to guests, their checking in and checking out are handled. Auditing and maintaining finance, taking the payments and sending the reminders of payment is also done in hotel receptionist jobs.
• Chef Hotel Jobs- You can start your career from the executive position and become the main or chief chef who gets a very handsome salary. In large hotel you must know multiple cuisines, their preparation and ways to serve that is a graceful way.
• Financial Hotel Jobs- Here you will have to check the finances of the hotel make the accounts and manage the profit. Annual reports are prepared and how to take tax benefits are explained in this job. There are many other legal formalities related to finance that are taken care of in financial jobs.
• Concierge Hotel Jobs- In concierge job you will have to arrange the transportation on the requirement of guest, plan the sigh scene trip and get the orders for massage, so that they feel comfortable and visit the hotel again. Such jobs are there in very large hotels.
• Managerial Hotel Jobs-As a hotel manager there will be different departments under you to supervise. Educational Qualification for Hotel Jobs

Hotel Industry prefers candidates with a Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management from a recognized Institute.You can do a course from a reputed hotel group and start working in their chain or you can also give the common entrance test after your graduation.

There are several options available at the entry level for hotel jobs:

• At the craft level-There are thirteen Food-Craft Institutes under the Ministry of Tourism that impart craft level courses. Candidates after having passed class Xth are eligible for joining these courses. Jobs available after doing the training are those of room attendants, chambermaids, cooking assistant, cooks, receptions bellboys etc.
• At Diploma Level-The 3 year Diploma in Hotel Management program can be pursued in the institutes accredited to the National Council 0f Hotel Management and Catering Technology (National Council) a body under the Department of Tourism or state government run institutes, universities and private institutes. Selection to the diploma courses is through an entrance exam followed by interview and group discussion. Candidates after completing class XIIth, in any subject are eligible to take the entrance exam. Entry is direct at the middle management level after doing the diploma course.
• At Graduate Level Graduates in any stream with good presentation skills, personality and language articulation are directly recruited for training for prospective management positions, in areas such as the Front Office.
